After winning “de Sjeng” Award in 2007 at the age of 16, things were getting
better and better for Dwayne Verheyden. On Tex-Mex King Flaco Jiménez his
advice Dwayne started in 2009 on the age of 17 his own group.

In 2010 they recorded their first album in San Antonio (TX), with cooperation of Flaco Jiménez and Max Baca (USA). The music they play is called Tex Mex music.

The group has also international success: Switserland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Estonia and especially in the U.S.A. Besides this Dwayne performed as a
special guest with several artists, like Flaco Jiménez (USA), Los Lobos (USA), Chris Jagger (UK) etc.

The second album was released in October 2012 by Hans Kusters Music (HKM).
Like the first album, also this album “Conjunto Tracks” features Flaco Jiménez.

In May 2013 Dwayne went on tour in Texas again. Besides his shows with Flaco
Jiménez, this time, he met Los Lobos for the first time and performed a few
songs as a special guest with Los Lobos in Austin, which was a success.

Los Lobos was so impressed by Dwayne’s performance that they invited him to
perform with them during a big show in The Netherlands. This show was the
support act of Neil Young at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.

In 2014 Dwayne went several times on tour in the USA again and this time also in Mexico where he performed at one of the biggest TV shows in Mexico: “Sabadazo”.

In September 2014 Dwayne wins the Tejano Music Award for “Best New Artist – Group” 2014. Winning the award makes him being the first European winning this award.
